Properties: Colorless crystals, deliquescent, melting point 37.5°C, decomposes at 150°C, soluble in water and alcohol, insoluble in ethyl acetate, aqueous solution is acidic, strong oxidizing properties.
Uses: Mainly used in the manufacture of catalysts for organic synthesis, mordants for the textile industry, oxidizing agents, as a salting-out agent in the solvent extraction recovery of nuclear fuel, and for the production of other aluminum salts.
